Shoe box appeal for Ukraine

Join with the Perth congregation, along with others in Perth, in preparing shoe boxes for Ukraine. The boxes will be assembled in October; ask Lorna or David for more information.

Angus Dundee and Perthshire Circuit Meeting

  • The Treasurer reported process for transfer of funds to Scotland Circuit.
  • Latest on purchase of new Manse in Balmossie Brae.
  • Update on local outreach – Dundee Hub; Arbroath Café in the Totum Kirkie; third morning now started in Perth’s “Renew” community.

Preachers’ meeting covering new Scotland Circuit

  • Appointments were made of Secretaries and the Study Support Group, with discussion as to remits and ways of working.
  • Arrangements reported for provision of The Vine to all Preachers and Worship Leaders.
  • Digital Service to continue, based on current Strathclyde / ADP pattern.
  • Next Draft Plan to be available from early August.
  • Next meeting – Wed 10th September, 7.30 pm hybrid with physical gathering in Edinburgh.

Travel to Circuit Welcome Service

It is proposed that members of our Circuit congregations join to travel together by coach to the Inaugural Service of the Scotland Circuit and Circuit Welcome Service for the Revs David Bidnell and Daniel George on Sunday 31st August at Dunblane Cathedral at 3.30 pm.

Please contact Sue Marshall-Jennings, this week, if possible (07884 236761, districtadmin@methodistchurchinscotland.net), if you wish to travel with others in this way – the Circuit has offered to cover the cost of hire, so travel will be free of charge!

Dundee Methodists in June and July 2025

Dundee Methodists cannot meet in Roseangle during June and July because of public art exhibitions.  There will therefore be NO public worship services until August 3rd.  It is intended to gather fortnightly from 15th June in various locations. Detailed arrangements will be notified as soon as possible.

General Church Meeting

Papers have been circulated and indications received from all current elected members that they are willing to continue if re-elected.  Dundee’s members are Liz (Steward), Lorna and Jenny (representatives).

Worship on 1 June 2025

Next Sunday’s worship (1st June) is a United Service in Scott Street Perth, followed by the East of Scotland General Church Meeting, to which all are invited.  If you wish to take a picnic lunch for shared fellowship after, please do so – drinks will be provided.
