Support other Organisations
Scottish Bible Society
Our support via the Bible-a-Month Partnership is invited in January for work in India and in February for work in Cuba where there is urgent need for import and distribution of Bibles and Scripture materials.
Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- support and help for children and young people in the
fight against HIV / AIDS in Congo through the Good Samaritan
for Children project;
- impact of the Community Bible Experience throughout
Scotland;
- development of a revised SBS website and online contacts.
Updates on partnerships last year:
- In Iraq, support last year enabled a project to deliver
healing counselling to displaced refugees struggling with
displacement and trauma caused by the Middle East conflicts
- by December over 150 families had been reached.
- In Uganda, Braille material has been distributed to blind
people (over 1 million people identified as such).
- In Pakistan, medical camps have been set up in 6 villages
in poverty-hit, remote areas to provide check-up and treatment
facilities. Each camp has enabled 350-400 patients to be seen.
Bibles and other Scripture-based material are also available.
