The ClothesBank will be CLOSED on Mondays 25th December and 1st January; open on Thursdays 28th December and 4th January;
Dundee Food Bank
A letter of thanks has been received for Marketgait's donations and support during the past year. The FoodBank remains committed to “providing emergency food relief to individuals, couples and families experiencing hardship throughout the city of Dundee and its surrounding area”.
In 2016, over 8,500 people were assisted with non-perishable food provision and the FoodBank is currently feeding 150 persons per week. (Clients can access the Foodbank on 3 separate occasions over a 6-month period.)
Scottish Bible Society
/Our support via the Bible-a-Month Partnership is invited in December for work in Guinea-Bissau and in January for work in Namibia.
/Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- Bible Society in Sierra Leone's work to translate the Bible into the Kono language;
- Bible Society of Burkina Faso's revision of the Mooré Bible for the Mossi people;
- training workshops run by the Bible Society in the South Pacific to promote Bible study materials;
- Biblical Commission of Cuba training pastors, Sunday School teachers and youth leaders;
- Bible Society of India's work with local churches to revise the complete Bible into a widely-accessible modern translation.

A request has been sent from the editor for contributions to the next edition which will have the theme of A World Transformed by God's Love. Contributions, not exceeding 120 words or 12 lines, should be sent, with name & postal address, to methodistprayerhandbook@gmail.com.

Information is to hand about two events arranged for Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd March next year in Perth Methodist Church.

Bible Month Learning, looking at the book of Jonah, with Professor John Drane and Olive Fleming Drane.

Re-imagining Church Forum.
