Support other Organisations

Scottish Bible Society

Our support via the Bible-a-Month Partnership is invited in December for work in Guinea-Bissau.

Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to

  • work of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba Bible Society alongside teachers and leaders to those who have dropped out of the school system;
  • Malagasy Bible Society's work on their first Study Bible, advised by theologians from different traditions;
  • completion of the Buryat Bible in Russia for 460,000 speakers of this language;
  • Bible Society of Mexico's provision of audio format Bibles in seven languages for over 20,000 adults and children.

Project Linus UK

As part of our Harvest celebration in September we were invited to support this charity's work of making and giving quilts to babies and children 'in need of a hug'. The sum of £48.50 was donated and letter of thanks has been received form the Angus and Tayside Co-ordinator. She expresses her warm thanks and intimates that since 2013, just under 2,000 quilts and blankets have been given to local babies and children. Money donated enables the purchase of material and fleece for those who are willing to offer their ability, time and energy in crafting the quilts and blankets.
