Circuit Meeting
The extra Circuit Meeting on Wednesday 11th November
will still take place, albeit with a changed item for
the agenda. Clarification on 'the Church and Marriage'
consultation and decision process is still awaited.
Singing the Faith
It has been agreed that Dundee should proceed with the purchase
of Singing the Faith. If you wish to order a personal copy
as part of the bulk order, please sign the paper on the
vestibule table or advise Jenny Easson today.
The order will be made this week.

Front Landing
As a result of conversation in the Worship Consultation, the table at the head of the front stairs has been replaced by 2 chairs, which may be used by children and adults during their worship activities, or anyone else in need of a seat. The material previously on the table is now downstairs in the library area.
Welfare Reform and Work Bill: “Tax Credits”
Following this week's vote in the House of Lords for a Government
rethink on its proposals, A large group of Churches is asking the government to reconsider
its proposals. You are invited to find out more and to join with them.
The churches'
Joint Public Issues Team
(Baptist, Methodist, URC, Church of Scotland) and supported by others,
will shortly launch their report
'Enough: Our responsibility to meet families' needs'.
The Churches will be again asking the UK Government to reconsider
its proposals and invites support from local churches and members.
A set of
resources has been compiled, including
- introduction to the campaign and its support
- short video
- Bible reflection on the theme of 'enough'
- Prayer and hymn

Scottish Bible Society
Our support via the Bible-a-Month Club is invited
in November for work in Burkina Faso. Our prayerful attention this week is drawn to
- literacy classes in Burkina Faso;
- orphaned & vulnerable children in Swaziland and support through the Good Samaritan HIV / AIDS project;
- work of the Bible Society and local churches in Lebanon to help Syrian refugees.

Beryl Cowling has now sent away to Barbara Glasson
at Touchstone, Bradford, 80 “Dewhurst Sylko”
reels from the 100+ so far received from this Circuit.
