Preaching Plan

The Plan of Preachers appointed to lead worship for the quarter December 2014 - February 2015 will be distributed electronically and there will also be several print copies on the vestibule table as ordered and for general uplift. If you wish your name added to the email or printed lists, please let David know. It is hoped publication will take place this week.

Fiona will be preparing the next 3 months' rotas for stewarding, collection counting, door welcome, and serving of coffee. Please contact her to notify (un)suitable dates or to offer to join one or more of the teams - more people welcome!

Dundee Methodists and Food Banks

Dundee Foodbank logo

We support the Dundee Foodbank by bringing in any of the suggested items from the Shopping List (on the table on the upstairs landing) and placing them in the large blue Bucket provided nearby. An explanatory slip is also available. There is also need for plastic carrier bags of suitable size; please place any spares by the Bucket. Monetary donations are also welcome. Contact Liz Kay for further information.

Tidying our Premises

Thanks to those whose hard work enabled a good “tidy up” of areas of our premises last Saturday morning. There seemed to be a general consensus that this sort of exercise (!) is something we should do on a regular basis “to keep on top of things”.

Watch this space - keep your ears open! (Sue & Jenny)

Worship Group résumé

The recent gathering of people with an interest in our worship discussed

  • installation of the Christmas Tree - it will have been erected ready for decoration on Saturday 13th December, helpers please arrive for 10.30am; 'seasonal refreshments' will be served to help sustain our efforts!

Next meeting, open to all - Thursday 12 February, 7pm.

ACTS Advent material

The devotional material prepared each year on behalf of ACTS (Action of Churches Together in Scotland) is now available for download from the ACTS website, under the title “The Advent Mix”. The material has been prepared this year by the Rev Gordon Jamieson, a former Minister of Barnhill St Margaret's Church of Scotland and a good friend to Ferry Methodists in the Broughty Ferry Churches Group.
