(NB Our building was the first base for the OWC, meeting in the mid 1980s in a designated area the shape of our wee crèche room; Dundee Methodists are counted among its founder members and long-term supporters).

Support other Organisations

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in June for work in Nicaragua and in July for work in Cambodia.

Our prayerful attention is drawn in the coming weeks to

  • response to Good Samaritan HIV/AIDS outreach in Zambia;
  • work amid financial crisis in Angola;
  • production of a daily 15-minute radio programme by the Bible Society in Cambodia.

Saturday 7th July 2012, 10.30am to 3.30pm Pitlochry Parish Church Malcolm and Cati Ramsay recently went from Pitlochry to Nepal as joint Mission Partners from the Church of Scotland and the Methodist Church. The Scotland District is hosting a Day Conference to welcome Om Prakash Subba, a member of the Board of the United Mission to Nepal, who is to attend the Methodist Conference in Plymouth the previous week. Tuesday 10th July 2012, 7pm Dundee Methodist Church, “L” Extraordinary Circuit Meeting - part of the District-wide process of consultation following the decision to move towards a “One-Circuit District” taken at the Spring Synod in Dundee and prior to the District Synod in Inverness on 15th September. The Church Council has met to consider issues and questions; other comments may be made to / via our representatives to the Circuit Meeting (Alan, David, Lorna, 'tricia) or other Dundee folk attending (Heather).
Friday 7th - Sunday 9th September 2012 Lagganlia, Aviemore “My Big Fat Greek Weekend” - an invitation to 11 - 16 year olds from Scotland Methodist District (in the person of Sally Robertson). Cost £20 per person, including transport.
