Café- Style Worship led by Mrs Sue Marshall-Jennings with the Rev Dr Sue Jansen

We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.

Rev Dr Sue Jansen

Café-Style Worship will be led next Sunday by Sue Marshall-Jennings with the Rev Dr Sue Jansen. Sue Jansen's name was listed in the Methodist Prayer Handbook on Day 9 as a Mission Partner in Argentina, having previously lived in Peru. She has now retired to St Andrews where she has been in contact with Methodists also resident in Fife. We offer a warm welcome here on behalf of the Marketgait congregation and look forward to sharing worship with 'the two Sues' next Sunday.

The Link Club is to take a stall at an open air-market sponsored by Dundee Rotary in the City Square on Saturday 25th August. If you have suitable goods for this stall, please hand them to Club helpers. A marked Box is available for receipt of books (and other small items?) in the Vestibule. Funds raised are likely to be allocated to the purchase of equipment and materials for Club members' activities.

Bill Reid (Connexional Liaison Officer Scotland) draws our attention to this leaflet launched at the Royal Highland Show last month, jointly produced by the Church of Scotland's Church and Society Council and the ecumenical Scottish Churches Rural Group. Bill commends this material, together with the Church of Scotland Report to the 2012 General Assembly, “Our Daily Bread”, as general resources for raising awareness and further study. Contact him (01786 820295) or Synod members who have been sent copies-on line.
