Soup (choice from 3 or more) is served with bread & cheese, followed by coffee (plus occasional shortbread!) for £2, in support of this ecumenical aid, relief and development charity. A warm welcome is given to all to come and share food and fellowship regularly or from time to time. |

Scottish Bible Society
Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in January for work in Benin. Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- Bibleworld Mobile on its first visit of the year, to Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh, moving later to Lomond School;
- King James Bible Trust meeting to review last year's 400th anniversary's events, including the People's Bible project initiated in Scotland;
- translation and distribution projects in the Ivory Coast, following 10 years of north/south tension;
- the enlarged Resource Centre in Bahrain, improved church cooperation in Qatar, and distribution of Scriptures to Filipino workers in the Gulf States;
- staff and colleagues in Iraq serving people with passion and commitment.
