Advent 2
We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
Methodist churches throughout Britain today are celebrating and supporting the work of the Mission in Britain Fund. There is a retiring offering, with envelopes available for those who wish to Gift Aid their donations.
Traditionally, during December our support is invited for “Methodism's child and family care arm”. Envelopes will be given out next week for return on Sundays 23rd or 30th December. The Communion Offering this month will also be allocated to Action for Children. Please note that Communion will be celebrated next Sunday and not on 16th December.
Copies of the updated insert, indicating Preachers' appointments, are on noticeboards in Marketgait plus a few on the Vestibule table. If you wish a copy, please contact Jenny or David Easson. Current version of preaching appointments.
“Elaine writes: I would like to thank everyone on the Flower Rota for this past year and thanks for the support given to the Rota.
I do have FOUR vacancies (3rd February, 14th April, 11th August, and 10th November) on the Flower Rota for 2013. If you feel you could help please contact me. I hope to have the 2013 Flower Rota out soon.”
