Gift Aid

The Treasurer is delighted to report that the Gift Aid tax return of over £5,000 was been paid into the bank last week. Warm thanks go to all who contribute in this way to the work of the Church and in particular to Cliff & Mary Foster for dealing with the administration of this aspect of our finances.

Contributions requested

The Link Club is to take a stall at an open air-market sponsored by Dundee Rotary in the City Square on Saturday 25th August. If you have suitable goods for this stall, please hand them to Club helpers. A marked Box is available for receipt of books (and other small items?) in the Vestibule. Funds raised are likely to be allocated to the purchase of equipment and materials for Club members' activities.

Request for volunteers

“With a smaller congregation and less people available to elp with the essential duties required to ensure that Dundee Methodist Church welcomes friends and visitors to worship on a Sunday, more members are needed to ensure that we can fill the regular rota. Support is needed for assisting the Stewards with counting after the service, to help with serving coffee and to act as Door Stewards. If you are not currently on the list of volunteers do please speak with Senior Steward, Alan Suttie, to find out how you can help. Many thanks."

International Bible Reading Association material

“There is a list in the Foyer for orders for IBRA Bible Readings for next year. Payment on receipt later in the year.”

Methodist Publishing Order

It is intended to send in an order for churches in the Circuit, for MP material - the more items on the one order, the cheaper in terms of posting and packaging! If you wish to have a copy of any for the following (or other MP items), please let Jenny Easson know as soon as possible. The Order for Prayer Handbooks will be the minimum number for reduced p&p costs, but it would be helpful to know of individuals who wish a copy.
