12 August 2012
We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
At the General Church Meeting, it was agreed that our support for this very worthwhile work should no longer come from the Benevolence Fund but out of the General Fund helped by any individual contributions. If you wish to assist in continuing our sponsorship of Aldrian Songgaling and his village in the Philippines, please contact David Easson as Church Treasurer.
The Link Club is to take a stall at an open air-market sponsored by Dundee Rotary in the City Square on Saturday 25th August. If you have suitable goods for this stall, please hand them to Club helpers. A marked Box is available for receipt of books (and other small items?) in the Vestibule. Funds raised are likely to be allocated to the purchase of equipment and materials for Club members' activities.

It is intended to send in an order for churches in the Circuit, for MP material - the more items on the one order, the cheaper in terms of posting and packaging! If you wish to have a copy of any for the following (or other MP items), please let Jenny Easson know as soon as possible. The Order for Prayer Handbooks will be the minimum number for reduced p&p costs, but it would be helpful to know of individuals who wish a copy.
Action for Churches Together in Scotland is to make this (temporary) appointment for a 6-month period subject to review and possible extension. The post will be based in Alloa, for 3 days per week. Details and application packs from the HR department, 0131 240 2272; recruitment@cofscotland.org.uk; Full advertisement on the ACTS website. Closing date is Friday 10th August 2012; interviews on Tuesday 4th September 2012.
