Hosting of Synod

URGENT REMINDER that help is needed as we host the Representative Session of Synod on Saturday in the Central Baptist Church premises, Ward Road, Dundee.

Please make contact with Sue Marshall-Jennings to assist with catering, Heather Dean for stewarding, and Mary Patterson for car-park supervision.

Youth President at Synod

Sam Taylor, the current Methodist Youth President has won the British Youth Council 'Make a Difference Award' for his work in this role. Sam will be at the Representative Session of Synod and leading a workshop: come and meet him there on Saturday 28th April!

Wednesday 25th April 2012, 10am to 11.30am Blairgowrie Methodist Church Coffee Morning. The support of Circuit friends is always much appreciated and a warm welcome given to all who come.
Friday 27th April 2012, 12 noon - 1 pm YMCA 151 Brook Street, Broughty Ferry (opposite “M&S Food”) (map) Broughty Ferry Churches Group Christian Aid lunch. Soup (choice from 3 or more) is served with bread & cheese, followed by coffee (plus occasional shortbread!) for £2, in support of this ecumenical aid, relief and development charity. A warm welcome is given to all to come and share food and fellowship regularly or from time to time.

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in April for work in Romania.

Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to

  • the work of the Bible Society in England;
  • redevelopment and rededication of Bible House in Singapore, and work in Brunei;
  • Nordic Fundraisers meeting in Bergen, Norway on Thursday;
  • use of the Penan New Testament, the Revised Iban Bible, and the release of 5000 Bibles by the authorities in Malaysia.
