Lent 3
We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
The 'Dig Deeper' Group will meet on Thursday 24th March, with Sunday 27th March as an alternative or second session. The book which forms the basis of the sessions can be accessed on www.thegoodbook.co.uk/dig-deeper, with a copy and discounted copies also available from Tom Penman.
Dundee Methodists are to host an ecumenical simple Passover-type Meal in Marketgait on the evening of Thursday 21st April. The Rev Mary Patterson would be grateful if those willing to share in the hosting and / or taking part in the Meal would meet with her to help with the planning. If you are interested, please contact Mary (01674 672373 or maryp57@yahoo.com ) as soon as possible so a convenient date, time and place can be agreed to meet, share thoughts and plan this Meal.
The Spring issue of the District newsletter is now available; printed copies on the Vestibule table.
The Rev. Dr Olav Fiske Tveit, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, has called upon churches around the world to pray for Japan and the Japanese people.
A prayer from Madagascar
Lord Jesus,
the storm is life and life is the storm
and there is no escaping it;
but what matters is that you are in the storm with us,
a beacon and a presence that is sure.
Amen
