Easter Offerings

Envelopes for the annual Appeal for the work of the world church are being distributed today, for return through the offertory plate in the next few weeks. The 2011 theme is 'Seeds of Life - Harvest, Hope and Wholeness for all God's Children'.

This title is based on 'All Things New', the theme chosen by Judith Simms, Connexional Women's Network President, for her year of office in 2008-9.

The money raised through the Easter Offering goes into the World Mission Fund, to be used for work that contributes to God's mission in 65 Partner Churches outside Britain and Ireland:

  • grants for particular requests from Partner Churches
  • training and support of mission partners to work with Partner Churches
  • 'Nationals in Mission' appointments in Partner Churches
  • scholarship and leadership training requested by Partner Churches.
