Support other Organisations

Scottish Churches House Prayer Network

Prayers are invited this week for meetings and events in the House and for the continuing governance process and future of the House in challenging economic times.

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited for work in October in Mozambique and in November in Myanmar / Burma. See noticeboard for more information.

Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to

  • work in Burma where Bible Society and churches are restricted in obtaining permission to print Bibles and related material but still strive to promote the use of Scriptures in daily living, especially among young people;
  • increased interest in the Bible in Hungary with wider involvement on the revision of the 1990 version;
  • SBS Conference in Perth on Saturday;
  • use of fresh New Testament version, in print and audio formats, launched earlier this year in Romania - especially in homes for children and the elderly, and in prisons.
