Rotary Shoe Boxes

Alan Suttie is pleased to announce that the now annual supply of empty shoe boxes, ready to be filled for sending to Eastern Europe, will be available as from this Sunday.

UNICEF Jars of Grace

As is our custom in Dundee, “Jars of Grace” will be handed out during today's worship for return on Sunday 7th November. We are invited to support the work of the United Nations Children's agency by a small daily donation, eg through the placing of a (small) coin in the Jar at each meal.

The theme for this year's Appeal is “helping children in Guyana face the challenges of climate change”:

  • rainfall pattern changes are already producing more extreme floods and droughts;
  • agriculture is affected by change to the length of seasons;
  • schooling is affected by flood conditions or increased difficulty in accessing clean water;
  • temperature changes are causing crop failures and water-borne diseases are increasing.

UNICEF's work means children can benefit from improvements in immunization & health care, clean water, and education.

Action for Children

A brochure of Christmas cards for Action for Children is on the table at the top of the stairs. Please sign the accompanying sheet if you wish to order cards. The order will be made in early November.

Lunch Invitation

On Sunday 21st November there will be a “Faith Lunch” after worship to give an opportunity to meet people new to the Dundee area, especially students - and to have chance for longer chat with others also!
