Holy Week

Our prayerful and active support is invited this week

  • Maundy Thursday United Service in Meadowside St Paul’s at 7.30 pm
  • Good Friday Procession of Witness gathering at St Andrew’s RC Cathedral at 12 noon, leaving at 12.15 pm for City Square Service at 12.30 pm
  • Good Friday United Service in Marketgait at 7.30 pm.
• Broughty Ferry Churches Group
  • Tuesday worship in Broughty Baptist Church, 86 St Vincent Street at 7.30pm
  • Wednesday final Lent topic “Barabbas”, in Barnhill St Margaret’s Church, Invermark Terrace, Broughty Ferry at 7.30 pm
  • Maundy Thursday snack meal and Communion in Broughty Ferry New Kirk Hall , at 7.30 pm
  • Good Friday Vigils in St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church, Queen Street Broughty Ferry:
    • 12 noon -3 pm : 2 pm Communion (all welcome), 2.30 pm First Meditation upon the Cross, 3 pm Prayers at the Cross;
    • also 6 pm - 6.30 pm Second Meditation and Prayers at the Cross
  • Holy Saturday Easter Vigil in St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church, Queen Street Broughty Ferry at 7.30 pm.

Scottish Churches House Prayer Network

Prayers are invited this week for events in the House, including Methodist Meeting on Thursday, and for the processes of governance change and appointment of a Director.

Scottish Bible Society

/Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in March for work in Jamaica and in April for work in Ethiopia. See noticeboard for more information. Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to

• Bible translation work and development of Bible work in Guyana and French Guiana;
• 'Mission Bangladesh' project to encourage involvement in mission, with an ultimate aim for 20,000 missionaries.
• 9 translation projects in Ethiopia where the whole Bible exists in only 4 out of 70+ languages;
• victims of January floods in Peru, being provided with food and Scriptures, with Scottish support.

• staff of the Al Ahli Hospital working on the front line of erupting violence in Gaza City (BibleLands);
