Fiji Methodist Church - update

The World Methodist Council (WMC) is not to recognise the break-away Methodist movement in Fiji, “the New Methodist Church", which has its roots in the country's military and police forces. Assurance has been given to Fijian Methodists of the WMC's “constant prayers “amid the “critical situation”. Leaders of WMC member churches are encouraged to offer advocacy and assistance to the Methodist Church of Fiji.

Rotary Shoe Boxes

“Last year many members helped us to fill and send Shoe Boxes to Romania, Croatia, and the Ukraine. 1460 boxes were delivered through Spurgeons in Tinaud, Romania, to children, young people and their families. This year we are hoping to increase the number of boxes we can fill and they will be available to collect from the foyer. Filled boxes must be returned by Sunday 15th November” (Alan Suttie)
