  • use of 'Where to look in the Gospels' as an additional resource for the Hope Scotland programme;
  • preparations for the 400th anniversary of the Authorised (King James) Version of the Bible;
  • continuation of work on the Azeri New Testament and Udin Bible in Azerbaijan;
  • 'Mark for Malta' trip this week to distribute 50,000 copies of Mark's Gospel in magazine format to young people in Malta;
  • production of the Bible in Braille in Armenia, also provision of Bible Study Guides for teachers.

Christian Aid Appeal

India Floods : an emergency appeal has been launched in response to the devastating floods in Bihar in which more than 2.5 million people have been affected and thousands are feared to have died. An initial £200,000 has been released to help partners but there is still need of emergency food, medical assistance and long-term help. One partner, CASA, in Bangalore, is feeding 5,000 people and another, EHA, is looking after thousands of people stranded on high ground by providing medical aid and measures to prevent the out-break of water-borne diseases. All donations will be gratefully received.
