TRASH: Tayside Ritual Abuse Support and Help

This small charity was set up in 2002, by a small group of volunteers, to support survivors of ritual or organised abuse. It provides a telephone help-line, interactive-website, access to alternative therapies and creative writing workshops, as well as publishing books to help survivors on the road to recovery. It also aims to raise awareness amongst organisations likely to come into contact with survivors, and in the wider community. (See letter on library area noticeboard for more details).

Further information from TRASH, 1 Victoria Road, Dundee DD1 1EL; tel : (01382 207667 (weekdays 10 am to 2 pm) or email : TRASH1053@aol.com.

The website is at www.rans.org.uk.

Note: “Tracing Rainbows through the Rain” - the (very moving & challenging) report to Conference in 2006 was commended to local churches and circuits for study, along with the (2003) 'Time for Action' CTBI report. Conference also urged the discovery of local resources and taking of appropriate action to “become a safer place for all”.
