Please see last week's news-sheet insert for details of this course, which Dundee is to follow (in 4 sessions), facilitated by members of the District Evangelism Group. The first session is today from 11 am (worship) to 2.30 pm, including faith lunch.

Lent

Holy Week Services

Broughty Ferry Churches Group services will be in St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church, Queen Street, Broughty Ferry (map) at 6.30 pm next Sunday and at 7.30 pm on other evenings. Worship next Sunday evening will take the form of a Meditation for Palm Sunday, with anthems, readings and hymns for the beginning of Holy Week.

Dundee City Centre Churches worship on Maundy Thursday (April 5th) will be in Marketgait at 7.30 pm.

Easter Offerings

Envelopes for contributions to this annual Appeal will be available next Sunday, for return in the collection plate on Easter Sunday and following weeks. The money is channelled via Methodist Women's Network into the Fund for World Mission, which helps to support

  • Mission Partners working overseas
  • The Mission in Britain programme
  • Nationals in Mission appointments
  • overseas students in ministry training
  • grants to partner churches and special projects.

Our support is warmly invited.

Flower Rota

There are currently five vacancies on the rota for providing the flowers for Sunday worship and pastoral distribution thereafter. If you wish to fill one of these, please contact Elaine.

Children's Group Rota

The April - June rota for adults willing to assist Margaret or Lorna with activities downstairs on a Sunday morning is currently being prepared. Thanks are expressed to “regulars” but additional helpers would also be welcome. If anyone would like to know more, please speak to Lorna or Margaret. There are spare forms to indicate “available dates” on the Vestibule table - please take, complete, and return, as indicated.

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in March for work in the Ivory Coast. See library area noticeboard.

Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to :

  • translation work by the Bible Society of Finland
  • meeting in Finland this week of Euro Publishing Group
  • Swedish Bible Society's new Bible Bus
  • new translation of the New Testament into two main Norwegian languages, also plans for study helps for young people
  • CD recording of the Danish New Testament
  • work in Greenland and the Faeroe Islands.
