“Growing From The Inside Out”

Please see the news-sheet insert for details of this course which Dundee is to follow (in 4 sessions), facilitated by members of the District Evangelism Group. As Sunday appeared the preferred day, the material, which aims to be widely accessible, will be incorporated into worship, and then continued over lunch & into the early afternoon. The first session is next Sunday. Please bring food for the shared faith lunch; drinks will be provided.

Flower Rota

There are currently five vacancies on the rota for providing the flowers for Sunday worship and pastoral distribution thereafter. If you wish to fill one of these, please contact Elaine.

Children's Group Rota

The April - June rota for adults willing to assist Margaret or Lorna with activities downstairs on a Sunday morning is currently being prepared. Thanks are expressed to “regulars” but additional helpers would also be welcome. If anyone would like to know more, please speak to Lorna or Margaret. There are spare forms to indicate “available dates” on the Vestibule table - please take, complete, and return, as indicated.

Lent

Charles Wesley 300th Birthday Celebrations - Perth Flower Festival

Our friends in Scott Street Methodist Church, Perth, are organising a Flower Festival from Friday 21st September to Sunday 23rd September, with floral displays illustrating Charles Wesley's life and hymns.

Invitation is given to others within the Circuit to participate by creating a windowsill display based on one of his Hymns - a list of suggestions is available on the Vestibule table 'as a starter'.

Any profits will go towards the VSO project upon which 2 Perth members are to embark. There is, however, an offer of a donation of £15 towards the cost of flowers or the opportunity to order with a 10% discount on all flowers from a local florist.

On the Friday evening there will be a lecture by the Rev Professor Frank Whaling on Charles Wesley and a Musical Concert on the Saturday evening - details to come!

Please note this in your diaries and, if you are interested in creating a display - by yourself or with others - contact Fiona Goudie.
