Support other Organisations

Scottish Bible Society

Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in April for work in China. See library area noticeboard.

Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to :

  • showing of the Jesus film in Sudan, distribution work in new areas since the peace agreement;
  • new translation work in Bilen, spoken in a rural district of Eritrea; effects of continuing conflict with Ethiopia;
  • increasing distribution and steady growth in local support in Ethiopia, also 12 current translation projects.

Scotland and Slavery

As part of the programme of events to mark the 200th anniversary of the 1807 Slave Trade Abolition Act, please note, and if possible support, these events in Scotland:

As preparation for those going to Sibiu and for wider interest, ACTS is organizing a series of Seminars on the Ecumenical Movement, looking at major traditions in Christianity. An Introduction to the Lutheran Tradition.
