Pastoral Charge
During Mary's sabbatical, from now to the New Year,
please notify the Rev David Firth of any request or need for
Ministerial pastoral care direct and / or via the Pastoral
Secretary (Jenny Easson), Pastoral Visitors, or the Church Stewards.

The order has now arrived and copies (price £2.25) can be obtained today from Heather.
Methodist Homes
Envelopes in support of the work of Methodist Homes will be given out next Sunday for return on Sunday 5th November.

Tapestry Walk. This month's opportunity to “walk the labyrinth”.
The estimated time, at a steady pace, is 40 minutes to the centre and
out again. Entry is free but donation of a perfumed candle to
place round the tapestry perimeter would be appreciated.

“Fresh Expressions” DVD and conversation - coffee will also be served. This is a further opportunity
for YOU to share YOUR thoughts about what it means for us to be the
witnessing community of Methodists based in Dundee. The DVD (which
belongs to the Circuit) can be borrowed for viewing by individuals
in their own homes or by groups - please see David Firth to arrange this.

A Feast of Festivals. Our support is invited for this concert to be given by
St Mary's Church Choir and Friends.
Admission free - collection in aid of the Organ Restoration Fund.
The conductor will be Bill Sinclair and Euan Crabb the trumpet soloist.
Light refreshments will be served after.

Scottish Bible Society
Our support through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in October for work in Sri Lanka. See library area noticeboard.
Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- translation of the New Testament in contemporary language in Denmark, work in Greenland and the Faeroes;
- progress in translation of the Icelandic Bible;
- 25th anniversary of the Bible Society in Germany;
- distribution of the Greek New Testament to every school by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, also distribution of the 'camouflage' New Testament to the Army.
One World Week
The 2006 One World Week runs from 22nd - 29th October on the theme MIND THE GAP
- between winners and losers
- between words and actions
- between 'friends' and 'enemies'.
