The theme will be “Losing our humanity?” based on material in “Easter People in a Good Friday World”, led by friends from the New Kirk and Our Lady of Good Counsel.

Churches Together in Britain and Ireland / Feed The Minds

CTBI and FTM are supporting the FTM project 'peacemakers' as a complement to the Lent Course “Easter People in a Good Friday World” which explores stories of hope and transformation in violent situations.

'Peacemakers'

  • gives churches and community groups free access to films and other multimedia learning resources
  • seeks to encourage audiences to become agents of change for peace
  • provides tools to enable development of simple initiatives in local areas
  • is carrying out a survey via a 'violence questionnaire' - can be completed online at peacemakers.tv/survey.

Scottish Bible Society

  • Our support for work through the Bible-a-Month Club is invited in March for Cameroon and in April for Palestine - see library are noticeboard for more details.
  • Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
    • Cassette recordings of the New Testament in Bambara and Tamacheq in Mali;
    • New office space and progress with Mandinka translation project in The Gambia;
    • Translation projects for minority language groups in China;
    • Production in Sierra Leone of a Krio audio version of Living in Hope for HIV / AIDS patients and their families.
