18 June 2006
We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.
We send best wishes to those involved in hosting this year's Methodist Conference, held
in Edinburgh for the first time, and to our District representatives, including Jenny Easson.
Church Coffee Morning for the Link Club Minibus
A big 'thank you' to everyone who helped to make the Coffee Morning
such a happy and successful event. So far over £ 250 has been raised,
and this will be used to help with the purchase and modification of the new
minibus for the Link Club. A photo of the bus will be on display on the noticeboard.

“Walking the Labyrinth”, a peaceful experience encouraging slow walking
and letting go of everyday concerns, has become more popular over recent years. The Labyrinth
Tapestry in Dundee University Chapel (a replica of one laid down in Chartres Cathedral c 1194-1220)
contains a path upon which opportunity to walk is given once a month. At about 12 metres in diameter, it contains a path
that extends for some 260 metres …. Most of the Labyrinths in Scotland have been laid
in private gardens, public parks, or in the open landscape. The Chapel provides a wonderful
opportunity to experience the Labyrinth in an enclosed space regardless of the weather. With
its stillness, subdued lighting, music, and candles, the Labyrinth has found a perfect setting
for meditation and prayer.”
No charge is made but a donation of a perfumed candle will be appreciated since
these are placed round the tapestry perimeter. A slow-paced walk usually
takes between 40 minutes and an hour. See leaflets on table; contact Nick Halpin 01337 870242,
