Plan-making
David Firth, Mary Patterson & Jenny will meet in Arbroath on Tuesday morning to prepare the draft Plan for December - February. Please intimate any requests to one of them by Monday evening.
BibleWorld Visit
Thanks are expressed for donations towards the expenses of the Children's Group visit to the Scottish Bible Society BibleWorld in Edinburgh on October 8th, amounting to £37.25.
United Service
The service that was to have been held at 6.30 pm on Sunday 25th September has now been cancelled.
Circuit Meeting News
- 1 At the Circuit meeting held in Marketgait on Thursday night an
invitation was given to and accepted by the Rev Mary Patterson to extend her ministry in this Circuit for another five years. Best wishes are extended to Mary and her family.
- 2 Circuit meeting approved the Circuit Treasurer's proposal to request money from Circuit Advance Fund to help fund necessary works at both manses.

- Our support is invited in September for work in Egypt - see library area

- Our prayerful attention is drawn this week to
- children receiving the Khmer Children's Bible in Cambodia and 'New Reader' booklets used in literacy classes;
- recent production of 'Jesus wants me' for children in Thailand;
- SBS Board meeting on Wednesday;
- use in Taiwan of the Chinese Study Bible
- new staff taking the Bibleworld SBS Mobile Studios round Scotland;
- United Bible Society translation teams' practical needs - computer software,
hardware, & electricity supply
- News of work in Pakistan (linked to Bible-a-month Club for April 2005) including
production by local Bible Society of special resources for festive occasions:
“At one 'mela' - attended by thousands of people including Roman Catholics, people
of other confessions, and non-Christians - Bible Society volunteers distributed 1,100 Scripture
calendars, more than 1,000 New Testaments, 500 colouring-books and 3,000 prayer Portions.”
