Dundee Methodist Church

09 October 2005

We give the assurance of our thoughts and prayers to all who are unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment, or anxious or grieving for the loss of loved ones.

Ecumenical Worship

This month's United Service will be on Sunday 23rd October at 6.30 pm in Dundee Congregational Church, Constitution Road (map). The invited preacher will be the Rev Gareth Jones, newly-appointed Industrial Chaplain in Tayside. All are welcome to join friends from Meadowside St Paul's Church of Scotland, Salem United Reformed Church, and our Congregational hosts.

Link Club - Volunteer Minibus Escort

The Link Club urgently needs to recruit a minibus escort for the Wednesday morning session of the Club. We cannot run the bus without an escort who accompanies the driver around the city, collecting Club members, bringing them to Marketgait, and then taking them home at lunchtime. This is an important and enjoyable role within the Club - can you help us or do you know someone who might be interested? More information from Lorna, or speak to any Club helper.

Ministerial Holidays

The Rev David Firth will be on holiday from 10th to 16th October.

Methodist Relief and Development Fund

Envelopes for donations in support of the work of MRDF can still be returned through the offering plate. The total raised so far from the envelopes is £ 146.00. The September Communion Offering of £102.74 will also be sent. Thanks to all who have contributed so far.
